10/09/2008 Northport Beigang acquired a 51% interest in Shenyang Ling Xiao Aviation Service Co Ltd.
(Ling Xiao) a full service Chinese travel agency that has retail facilities and call room operations in Shenyang and in Dalian, both in Liaoning province in China. Northport Beigang is now designing a total of 600 specialty terminal devices for use by Ling Xiao booking staff and its independent travel agents. In addition, Northport Beigang's commercial banking provider is offering a line of credit program to all Ling Xiao independent agents that utilize the proprietary terminal which is based upon the Colorstar patented kiosk platform technology and will provide superior connectivity, financial security and is much more user friendly than current aviation booking systems. Ling Xiao provides include airline ticketing, both for domestic and international travel, as well as many other fee related travel services including cruise and charter airline bookings. Besides a current staff of 70, Ling Xiao also provides remote services to over 200 independent travel agents. Ling Xiao revenues for the next full year are estimated to be $60 million US.
